Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Stream Autopsy collects, why, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address and a scrambled (hashed) password. We never store your password itself.
• Your Anthropic API key, if you add one. It is stored encrypted and is only used to run AI features you ask for.
• What you make: clips you work on, footage you upload, commentary, renders, links to posts you add to the tracker, streamer notes, forum posts and assistant chats.
• Payments: Stripe processes payments. We receive a record that a payment happened and the amount, not your card number.
• Technical data: a login cookie that keeps you signed in, and basic server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security.

How we use it

To run the service, keep your account secure, process purchases, respond to support and copyright requests, prevent abuse, and improve the site. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use advertising cookies.

Who we share it with

Only service providers that help us run the site: hosting, Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI requests, when you use AI features) and Google's YouTube API (to read public view counts of links you add). We may disclose information if the law requires it, or in a copyright counter-notice as described in our Copyright policy.

Public information

Forum posts, your display name on them, and share links you create are visible to others.

Keeping and deleting data

We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete posts, remove your API key and clear assistant chats yourself. To close your account and delete your data, contact us; we'll delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or object to how we use it. Contact us to make a request.

Children

The site is not for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use encryption for stored API keys and hashed passwords, and HTTPS in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so use a unique password.
